Day 103: Work Hard Play Hard
2026-05-20
Hello! First, a technical note: I've disabled link tracking on this website. It wasn't primarily for analytics, but because it was bundled with the ability to correct links after initial publishing, I hesitated to disable it. But after one hundred days of links working fine, I'll take my chances. You can come back, Jack.
Also, another technical note (sorry!): This website was down last night. Not my fault, and it really didn't impact anyone, except two people who texted me :-). But that was a confusing couple of minutes. Keep backups, I guess.
Although, I received an email regarding yesterday's article. I mentioned how the cool graffiti was on earlier cars that I didn't capture. But Mars emailed me to say that the graffiti I did capture is still intricate and interesting, repeated three times. It's still a skill that I kinda glossed over. Thanks, Mars. Not worth making a correction, just a bit of nuance that I thought was worth including here.
Today's photo is of a barn. According to local papers and articles, the barn is over a century old with seven stalls. It's surrounded by modern housing, and the farmland isn't particularly big, so it's just some company's home and workshop, I think.
Except, I don't know if it's a company. That's what the websites seem to imply, but then why would they own land in a residential zone, with a basketball net and lounge chair? I saw trucks loading up and leaving the area, but no people. I wouldn't have had the courage to ask them anyway.
Finally: AI, AI, AI, AI. I give no explanation. I have none.
Thank you for visiting this blog! Reply by email, subscribe via RSS, or join the 1Day1Photo newsletter, where you can get this photo a week before the internet does :-).
Cheers,
David
