Day 26: March Basketball Four

Hello! This time, I'm adding a roster photo to my sports photo work. March Madness, the college basketball tournament, is starting in just under two weeks, so it's fitting that I publish some of my past work of basketball photography.

This impulsive roster photo was only possible with a wide-angle lens to get all players in the frame. I can only back up so far, and the perspective shift of a wide-angle image lets you focus on the jerseys and each player in the circle.

I've stood near the net and off on the corners of the game floor before, but I was also allowed to go near the player seats and take this shot behind them to get this composition.

I shot above the sitting players and made sure to include each player's face in the frame, without including the bright ceiling lights just above the frame.
