Day 39: Parade Cheer From the Truck
2026-03-17
Hello! Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
The day after returning home from my trip, I went out to photograph a local St. Patrick's Day parade.
It's been a local tradition for more than thirty years, but I hadn't heard of it until now. They had a professional photographer for the parade, but the police didn't stop me from wandering around and taking photos (beyond a few weird looks), so I just kept on doing my thing.
I think the parade had some traffic issues, because it was a while before the cars in the back passed the starting point. I went behind the official starting point and got this photo of a group of friends hanging out above a parade truck.
I took loads of photos during this parade as I walked along the route, and I have no idea how to contact the families and friends who participated in this parade. One family during the parade shouted back, "Tag us!" but I don't use social media and I don't know their handle. So... bad luck.
I plan to put together a photo folder and call the event organizers or any phone numbers listed on the trucks. Here goes nothing.
Finally, a web game. Simple and easy, but frustrating. Or maybe I'm just bad at games.
