Day 90: Wind Sail
2026-05-07
Hello!
This is a close-up photograph of the glamorous louvers of the science laboratory from before. These things are about forty feet tall, and have held up for a few years now. They're installed outside — you can see the clouds through these structures — and I wonder how the architects and builders tested its structural integrity for storms and high winds and such.
Also, keeping it clean must be a nightmare. They can probably count on the students not vandalizing it, but bird poop and dirt can still mess up the structure at any level. Especially if the dirtiness is up above human level, it must be a real hassle to wipe off.
I'm introducing a new section into these blog posts; this website has always been a mix between photography and "nonsense" (a slice of my life, as unfiltered as I can reasonably be) and I'm loving the nonsense part of myself lately.
To start: Yes, it's only fans. I give no explanation. I have none.
Finally, some British humor. Can you spot the upper class of London based on how they walk and talk? I would hate to do any street interviews, but I'm glad they've got the audacity to try it in 1986. And that the folks being interviewed are taking it in good fun.
