Day 95: Eastern Evergreens
2026-05-12
Hello!
I was hesitant to take this image, because it's just some leaves that I see all the time. But I'm sharing it today because there's a chance that there's a reader that doesn't see this all the time. I go to gardens and see flowers that aren't common in my area, because they're colorful and novel and interesting. Maybe these evergreen trees are not to be found, and you're more familiar with the Australian eucalyptus trees, or something.
In that case, you would think that a eucalyptus would be uninteresting and not worth taking a photo of. But I would enjoy it! I live in a different part of the world than you do, and any insight into your environment through photography is novel to me.
Here's hoping that the common evergreen is novel to someone.
Today, I'm off to see a theater production shop. It's completely out of my league, but I've always wanted to see how they make costumes and props.
Finally, some cool typography. Even the Amazon river provides inspiration for a flowy font, if you look close enough. And if you use Google Earth. (I've talked about previous font fun before, should I post some of my own sketches?)
