Day 96: Even More May Flowers
2026-05-13
Hello!
A break day today, and a continuation of the many blooming flowers this spring. You can find the other flowers at May Flowers and More May Flowers.
And these are Even More May Flowers. Enjoy some photography! I love The Atlantic's photo... album? gallery? collection? of the blooming cherry blossoms this spring. My favorite ever photo inspirations come from The Atlantic, and while I worry that I'll be linking to their articles too often, the eye candy here is impossible to resist.
I've completed my exams! And I've gotten right back into planning for a big article in a few days (Day 100) and a few cool projects in my personal life that I'll probably be able to share with photography.
Of the five senses, I've been able to make art from sight and sound. Photography and music performances are really cool party tricks in my eyes, and I love sharing about them. I realize there's a fine line of oversharing, and I can tell that a lot of the people in my life have already felt me cross that line (with symptoms of fatigue), so I've stopped.
Kind of. Here's a recording of random piano playing that I made up on the spot, as recorded by my phone. I didn't use sheet music, but I pulled from a bunch of meme music from my childhood, jazz chord progressions, and Elvis Presley classics without realizing it.
(I'm still unsure about sharing personal work with the Internet, since I already don't like this music piece I've improvised, but I publish photo work here so I guess it's fine...)
As I write this, I'm listening to this CD that I bought for too much money at a local record store / music shop. Of course, it's on Spotify for free. The album is called... well, okay — I don't think it actually has an official album name. It seems to have been released as three individual singles, with one of them being chosen as the album name はじめまして. That's right, I'm listening to J-Pop. I bought this CD as a gift for a friend, but before I did, I listened to the tracks myself and they're not half-bad.
Thank you for visiting this blog! Reply by email, subscribe via RSS, or join the 1Day1Photo newsletter, where you can get this photo a week before the internet does :-).
Cheers,
David
